5 Ways to Save Money on Your Wedding Flowers with Best Buds

When it comes to wedding planning, sticking to a budget can be a challenge. Pinterest is full of pretty inspiration photos that can derail even the most budget-conscious couples, but you really don’t have to go spend a fortune to have a beautiful wedding!

When creating our Collections, we thought a lot about what types of items couples might need to enchase their weddings outside of personal flowers. From pre-designed centerpieces to loose blooms perfect for the DIY-inclined bride, we wanted to offer a one-stop-shop for wedding flowers that are both pretty and affordable, as well as items that can be used in a variety of ways depending on your vision!

Today we’re looking at five Best Buds Flower Co products that can help you decorate your wedding, without breaking the bank!

Examples of how to decorate your wedding with budget-friendly wedding flowers.

Budget Friendly Centerpieces

If you’re looking for an easy and classic way to decorate your reception, look no further than our centerpieces! Each collection offers a centerpiece option that is perfect for 60” and 72” round guest tables (the typical sizes at most venues). These centerpieces come in your choice of clear glass, gold plastic or silver plastic vases.

The best part is that our design team does all the work, so all your wedding day helpers have to do is place them on each table!

Petite Centerpieces and Bud Vases

A smaller version of our full-sized centerpieces, the petite centerpiece is perfect for 36” and 48” round tables or tall cocktail tables. If you’re using long feating tables at your reception, these petite designs pair perfectly with scattered candles down the length of the table. They also make great floral accents on bars, welcome tables, and gift tables! Like the larger versions, these come standard in clear glass vases, gold plastic vases or silver plastic vases, and are ready to be placed throughout the reception space.

Bud vases are also another great budget stretching decor option! Bud vases can be styled a variety of ways and literally go anywhere! Check out our other blog post on 5 Ways to Style Bud Vases.

Garlands

The perfect addition to your ceremony or reception, our Garland by The Foot comes fully assembled and ready to go - just let us know how many feet you’ll need! In addition to long table decor, greenery garlands are perfect for dressing up an escort card display, attached to a ceremony structure, or draped over a mantle. The possibilities are endless!

We offer garlands in three greenery types: salal, ruscus and seasonal eucalyptus, but if you’re looking for a little added texture just weave in some loose greenery sprigs! (In the middle photo below, loose ruscus was added to a eucalyptus garland for a more wild, organic look).

Don’t be fooled…greenery down a table looks like a simple design, but it’s actually very time consuming! Thinking that you can order some greens and do them onsite on the wedding day will cost you hours you don’t have. That’s why ours come assembled and you can just drop and go!

Loose Flowers, Greenery and Rose Petals

While we offer a lot of flowers without the work, some of our clients still want to DIY some flowers on their own. Our floral and greenery bunches allow you to add a soft touch to any area of your day. Accent a lantern centerpiece, create your own aisle décor, or tuck blooms into garlands; thes no limit to what you can create! We offer loose bunches of baby’s breath, roses (in a variety of color options), ruscus, salal and eucalyptus to compliment any wedding vision!

Our loose roses come fully prepped for you too! Any other place in Dayton or Cincinnati that would sell you flower bunches won’t have the roses dethorned and cleaned for you. This saves you a lot of work and makes sure that you get roses at their best!

A wedding planner recently decorated her client’s intimate at-home wedding ceremony using a variety of Best Buds products! For the ceremony, she filled the fireplace with candles and loose eucalyptus, and adorned the mantle with a garland accented with loose lavender roses to match the bride’s Lavender Rose Bouquet. This is a great way to mix and match pre-made pieces of ours with creations you want to make.

Rose petals also have a million different uses from adding them to your ceremony aisle, cocktail tables, and even reception tables. Plus, they’re a super easy way to DIY a centerpiece.

The kits can be used alone, or pair perfectly with our Petite Centerpieces and Bud Vases! These also make a great accent for decor items you’ve collected, like books or lanterns.

Another easy way to enhance your reception is with with gold, silver or clear glass votive candles (sold in sets of 12). Don’t waste time running around to craft stores stocking up on votive candles, just add as many sets as you need to your Best Buds Flower Co order!
